Shawnita Meeky serves as a Resource Navigator with WorkLife Partnership, serving diligently to improve the quality of life for her clients. She has over 12 years of experience providing supportive services for her clients.
Shawnita has an innate ability to identify obstacles, connect with people, and then partner with them to overcome road blocks in a lasting way. She believes that everyone has the ability to be a great and resourceful part of the community in which they work and live. Her mission is to help people improve their quality of life in order to live at their highest potential.
Previously, Shawnita worked as a student success coach for Kaplan University, focused on retention and obstacle resolution. As a program manager for Operation Hope, she taught financial literacy workshops to students and community organizations. As the Director of Social Services for Symphony Nursing Home, she managed resident concerns including conflict resolution, legal disputes, and end of life services.
Shawnita has served as an early intervention specialist and primary teacher for special needs children. She founded and directed a nonprofit organization called College Bound Outreach (CBO) that provided college admissions guidance for underserved high school students and their parents.
Shawnita has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She has taken advanced degree classes at Governor’s State University for Educational Psychology.
